Disciplinary Rules

  1. The students should be regular and punctual In attending the classes, practicals, tutorials, submission of term work, and projects.
  2. The students must carry the Identity Card issued by the institute and signed by the Principal at all times and produce the same at the entrance of the institute or as and when demanded by the institute authorities. Entry may be prohibited in case the student fails to do so.
  3. The students are required to have at least 75% attendance in each course. The students who fail to comply with the above requirements shall not be allowed to appear for the examinations. Such students shall have to seek readmission in the same class of the succeeding year.
  4. A student will be refused admission to theory or practical classes if he/she is not in the prescribed uniform, not carrying the required journal, toolkit or the institute Identity card. Attendance for the day will not be granted in such a case.
  5. In case a student is required to remain absent for some reason, prior written permission should be taken from the Principal.
  6. Students must attend all Social and National Events organized by the institute such as 26th January, 15th August and all other declared social events.
  7. Students must attend in the prescribed uniform all theory and practical classes, all official visits and excursions, demonstrations, guest lectures, outdoor and indoor catering functions arranged by the institute.
  8. Students will undertake the prescribed training by way of Out Door Catering (ODC) arranged through the training & placement cell of the Institute. No students will undertake private ODC or catering orders without prior permission of the Principal. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students indulging in such practice.
  9. Smoking, consumption of alcohol, gutkha & drugs is strictly prohibited in the premises of the institute & hostel.
  10. Use of cell phone in the institute premises is strictly prohibited.
  11. Ragging of students in any form within or outside the institute & hostel is strictly prohibited. Defaulters will face stern action as per anti ragging rules of the Government.
  12. Students causing intentional damage to the institute's property, will face stern disciplinary action & will have to bear monetary compensation for the same.
  13. Students found indulging in anti national activities contrary to the provision of the acts & laws enforced by the government are liable to be expelled from the institute without any notice by the Principal of the institute.
  14. A student shall not go to press or any other public media without the permission of the Principal.
  15. In case of prolonged absenteeism or lack of satisfactory academic progress, a candidate may be advised by the Principal to leave the course & his guardian informed accordingly.
  16. No student will be permitted to appear for the University Examinations until & unless all formalities of attendance, submission of journals, projects & payment of all dues such as tuition fees and fine has been settled.
  17. Failed students will be allowed to appear for the examination as per the rules laid down by the Savitribai Phule Pune University.
  18. Student is expected to read the notices issued by the institute from time to time, ignornce will be no excuse.
  19. Student vehicles should be parked only in the area provided for the purpose.The institute accepts no responsibility for their safe custody. Vehicle parked elsewhere may be confiscated.
  20. Students are advised not to carry expensive gadgets, excessive cash and wear heavy gold jewellery. The institute is not responsible for any loss incurred by the student.
  21. It will be entirely the responsibility of the parents / guardian to keep themselves closely in touch with the academic progress & attendance of their ward.
  22. Any change in the residential address of the student must be intimated in writing to the institute office immediately.
  23. Lunch provided in the institute for the student is not a statutory obligation on part of the institute. Students are required to accept whatever is offered as training food.
  24. If any of the statement made in the application form or any information supplied by the student in connection with his / her admission is found to be false, his / her admission will be cancelled, fees will be forfeited and he/ she will be expelled from the institute & prosecuted as per rules of Government if necessary.
  25. Student will abide by the rules & regulations framed by the institute from time to time.
  26. Personal grooming standard will be checked everyday by the concerned Faculty, failing which will not allowed to attend the classes / practicals.
  27. Communication Skills – Internal Assessment will be considered for Internal Marks of other subjects.
  28. Exam / Eligibility Fee to be paid in time as per notification
  29. Institute fee payment hour is between 9.00 am to 1.00 pm (Monday to Saturday). Students are advised to take receipt of payment on the same date.
  30. Any kind of certificate (Bonafide, Bus pass, Loan etc.) will be only issue after getting proper application declaring the reason properly and if found correct the same will be issued within three days from date of application.
  31. Journal will be issued free of cost during FY, SY (Sem-I) & TY (Sem-III) only and will be available for sale during TY (Sem- IV).
  32. Log Book for Industrial Training will be available for sale at the end of I Semester.
  33. SYBScHS Students are advised to declare the topic of Project Report (HS 210)by end of I semester to the office. Failing which the students will not allowed to attend the Project Report viva.
